The company is building a Technical Resources Department with a broad range of responsibilities: open pit reserves, underground reserves, resource model construction, estimation of grades, business improvement and the provision of support services to two operating gold mines. Other responsibilities include exploration, and corporate merger and acquisition activities throughout West Africa. They now seek applications from mining professionals with relevant technical skills. Mine operations experience is essential and French speaking would be highly regarded. Mine planning software used at Golden Star is Gemcom, Surpac, Mine Site and Whittle.
