Leading Change
Demonstrating leadership in managing change is a key component in any change program’s overall success - in other words, making the changes in a planned, managed and systematic fashion. Beilby can help those responsible for managing change understand, review and implement sound change management practices.
Living with Change
Often referred to as “Survivor Syndrome”, in times of change individuals and groups within organisations often endure significant stress and during downsizing, sometimes even guilt. Evidence has shown that unless managed properly, there is the danger for high performers to leave the business. Allowing individuals to participate in a change workshop where they may vent their frustration, work through other issues and ultimately
move forward goes a long way towards enabling the organisation to recover and return to strong productivity.
Exit Interviews
As retention is one of the greatest human resources challenges faced in today’s market, many organisations use externally facilitated exit interviews to collect information from their staff that choose to leave. Competition for talent is fierce and therefore using an objective method for assessing the reasons why staff choose to leave assists greatly in the planning of human resource retention strategies.
Recent research has shown the information gleaned from exit interviews facilitated by a third party is more accurate, and therefore more useful, as the departing employees are less concerned about the ramifications of providing constructive criticism when anonymity is assured. In addition, by using a third party, there is less opportunity for interviewer bias, it is less confronting and there is better consistency.
Beilby adopts a best practice methodology, based on organisational research and industry practice. Interviews are conducted by professional consultants who are independent of your organisation and the information is collated and communicated in a regular report summarising the key issues identified by staff during the exit interview process. We are able to conduct exit interviews either on site, by telephone or in Beilby offices.
